As an advocate, educator and administrator, Burt’s 35+ year career has focused on ensuring full inclusion, equitable rights, self-determination, and innovative design for people with disabilities. He has served on local, regional, state, and national boards and committees; established innovative local and state programs and businesses; provided consultation for public and private rehabilitation and healthcare organizations; conducted state, national and international research; delivered presentations to more than 300 professional assemblies and taught undergraduate and graduate courses. Dr. Pusch has dedicated his life to changing the way society perceives and responds to disability. Burt works to advance the authentic lived experiences of people with multifaceted health, support and environmental needs. Currently semi-retired, Burt received his Masters and Doctorate in Rehabilitation from Southern Illinois University and a BA in Psychology from Calvin University.
